Kayemba Patrick Chairperson

Kayemba Patrick is a Development Practitioner, Researcher, Trainer, NGO Manager, and Social Development Change Agent. He is also a political leader – currently the District Chairperson  Iganga District Local Government. He holds a masters’ degree in Community Based Development and a Bachelor Degree in Development Studies. He is specialized in Policy advocacy on Sustainable Transport and Governance. Mr. Kayemba was a member of the National Bus Rapid Transit project (BRT) for Kampala Technical committee, Finance, Infrastructure and Transport Services (FITS) and a member of the Sector Working Group of the Ministry of Works and Transport. He has published on Sustainable Transport and Governance. He has over 20 years’ experience in Coordinating and Managing Development Projects. He formally worked as the Executive director of  First African Bicycle Information Organization (FABIO) and later as the chairman of the same organization. He served as the Country Director- European Institute for Sustainable Transport EURIST AFRICA. Mr. Kayemba was the Chairperson of Transparency International Uganda (2012 -2016) and a member of the Standing Committee of Economic, Social and Cultural Council - ECOSOCC of the African Union (2006- 2015). He initiated and was Chairman of the Civil Society Coalition in Transport CISCOT.

 Esther W Kirumira Vice chairperson

Esther W. Kirumira is a freelance social worker who has been serving the non-profit, public health and education sectors for over 18 years.  The board chairperson of education and development initiative Uganda (EDI(U) in Njeru Municipality which focuses on empowering and imparting skills to women, youth, and school dropouts .  She chairs the Health management committee of Namwezi Health Centre III for njeru Central Division Local Government.  Her good training in Baking and secretarial studies gave her opportunities to work with different Banks, organizations and government ministries in Uganda.  She has coordinated, implemented development programs of both National and international organizations.

 

GRACE NAKANDI KIYINGI Treasurer

Grace NakandiKiyingi is a Business Executive with six years experience in Finance and Insurance sectors.  She served as a Microfinance Loans Officer at Kawempe North Microfinance – Uganda.  Grace worked as the Kanyanya Church of Uganda Primary School Bursar/ Secretary before Joining the ICEA Life Assurance Company Limited as a Unit Leader.  At ICEA Life Assurance Company Limited, Grace was responsible for recruiting and training agents on products knowledge, prospection, identifying service clients and market the company products through building leads and generating applications for new clients.  Grace is currently the Branch Accountant for Five Talents Uganda Limited, Namirembe Branch - Uganda.  She is a leader in providing timely and accurate reporting and support in identifying strategies and plans to manage the actual performance against budgets
