FSD Jinja-Uganda Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) Internships allow participants to engage with our community partners in researching local issues and developing potential solutions. Research Internships have a strong emphasis on community participation where researchers work side by side with community members. Each step along the way is carefully conducted with the community members including defining the research question and analyzing the findings. The aim of CBPR is to increase knowledge and understanding of a given phenomenon in the community and integrate the knowledge gained with interventions, policy and social change to improve the health and quality of life of community members. The CBPR internships provide participants with practical skills and experience of doing community-based research.
